We believe that there is an abundance of talent in the Northwest Arkansas area. Many individuals and families are searching for ways to become involved in all aspects of theater and performance. In evaluating the current theatrical opportunities in Northwest Arkansas, we have identified ways in which we can add on the existing theatre/music sphere in Northwest Arkansas:

  1. More opportunities for children and youth to perform in a variety of productions with relative frequency;

  2. Productions that reflect traditional values and uplifting content.

  3. Instruction and workshops intended to develop skills and talents in participants of all ages.

  4. Connecting professionals with the next generation to unlock their potential.

Why The Name?

In the 1800s, Philip Paul Bliss, a composer, heard a story told at church of a ship captain trying to navigate his ship thru a storm to the safety of the harbor. They could see the lighthouse ahead, but the lower lights, which lit the rocks lining the harbor, had gone out. Without those lights to guide them, the ship wrecked and all were lost. Moved by the story, Bliss composed the well-known hymn, "Brightly Beams Our Father's Mercy," in which the lesson is beautifully conveyed: God's light will shine, but we must also shine our light to help lead God's children to Him. "Brightly beams our Father’s mercy from his lighthouse evermore, but to us he gives the keeping of the lights along the shore. Let the lower lights be burning; send a gleam across the wave. Some poor fainting, struggling seaman you may rescue, you may save." We hope our productions, and all we do, enable the light of God to shine.
